What was he thinking?

This morning I was driving in traffic and I noticed the gentleman behind me in my rearview mirror. He was probably in his late 40’s, white, dressed in business attire, and in a nice car. Outside the window there where 4 teenage boys, African-American, dressed in throwback jersey’s, baggy and sagging pants, on their way to school.
The gentleman in the car was starring intently at them obviously contemplating something in his head related to the scene before him.

What was he thinking?

  1. “I wonder what that guy in front of me is thinking?….maybe if look over to the side here he will stop looking at me in his rearview mirror…”

    just kidding….

  2. probably something like–“trouble makers, i bet they are really good basketball players.” or i guess i could give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just spacing out, thinking about the busy day ahead of him, cuz otherwise i’m stereotyping him as much as i’m assuming he is stereotyping those kids, right? :o)

  3. Probably something like,

“I hate it when people look at me and judge me without knowing what I’m thinking. I bet they do too”.
