Open Thread: Let’s Chat

I’ve seen this done on some big blogs, but never on tiny little things like mine. I didn’t have anything profound or worthwhile to write for today so I thought I’d try to just leave it completely open. If you have something you always wanted to ask me or say on the blog, or ask other readers, or just put on the “internet” then go ahead and leave a comment about it. I’ll do my best to further the dialog.

  1. I've been wondering, have you read 'Jesus for President' by Shane Claiborne & Chris Haw? You seem to have a lot of similar ideas to those in the book. It's a fantastic read if you haven't, and you can read it online, though I'd suggest getting a copy for yourself. (jesusforpresident.org)

  2. I have actually.

A lot of the political readings of scripture in there were pretty new to me, at least the Old Testament and Revelations parts. I'd learned a little of the other stuff through Politics of Jesus by Yoder (I'd recommend this simplified version unless your a real academic)

Anyways, thanks for the thought, feel free to comment on my review, it's not too in depth though.
