is it worth fixing an ipod?

About 13 months after receiving a free ipod from one of those infamous online sites, my ipod died. Straight up died. The apple warranty conviently for them lasts only 12 months. This means I’m stuck at home with a broken ipod.

I’m waiting for another free ipod (I’ll let you know if it ever comes). Meanwhile, what should I do with my broken ipod? I’ve got two options:

1) Sell it on ebay for about $80 (broken and all)

2) fix it for $100 (and then maybe sell it?)

  1. It is worth fixing an Ipod only if its a battery in my opinion otherwise I sold mine with a broken LCD to http://www.docipod.com they were fair and honest traded in mine for a refurbished 4th gen 20 gig plus 110.00 so basically the cost of a LCD replacment part and I had a newer one .cool to deal with these guys too I email the guys all the time for info on other electronics as well . Good Luck All.
