I took a brief look at my stats for Trying to Follow the past few days. It seems my assumption was right: If I don’t write, you don’t read.
Okay, you might read something somewhere else, but you certainly aren’t getting your daily dose of Fine thoughts from Ariah. I feel a sense of duty to write for you more. I’ll do my best to make that a reality.
At the same time I would encourage you to take a look at my “Links” post that come up each day. They are from my bookmarks at Del.icio.us and they give you a good idea of what I’m snooping around and doing each day. I’m going to start adding notes to each of them so you can have a better idea of what things are before you click on them. For now enjoy.
That makes sense. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading. One thing though is I don’t really look too hard when you post the list of links. Maybe it’s too much information or not enough (about what the sites are about). But I’m sure other people do, sokeep them up.
o-k.
i suppose i am finally giving in and commenting here. which is not to suggest the slightest trace of my being “fed up” with your recent blog activity. not at all. i enjoy your blog very much, which is why i link to it so often.
truth be told, however, i have recently been suffering some sort of subliminal assault on the back burner of my mind, strobe-lighting brief– but powerful– messages telling me to “TAKE HIS BLOG OFF YOUR FAVORITE LINKS LIST”.
i am glad to be telling you this, i think because the act itself reestablishes my sense of affinity with your blog, which bodes well for projected trends in my web-clicking activity and frequency as it relates to http://blog.iamnotashamed.net, which leads to my next point.
i think the source of my subliminal insubordination has been that in many of my visits here in recent weeks i have been surprised to come across what was yet another post on the blog itself, a post with an air of navel gazing, only tricked out with the statistical flair of “tech talk”, like reading the diary of a goth bean counter, or a post asking visitors “why don’t you visit more?”, etc.
i also vaguely remember (honestly) perhaps something about you doing an experiment with your blog to see how different posts affected visitor activity. if this most recent post is the conclusion of that experiment, forgive me. i am a dumbass.
please, please: do not take me for a heckler. i am not. i really like your site and was drawn to it before i stopped going to revelant’s site. i deeply appreciate what you are doing to bring attention to urgent areas of real need in our world, as well as issues of extreme ethical and moral weight which the church faces today. i want to hear more of your thoughts, and i plan on coming back.
i suppose i am writing all this to encourage you and to urge you on in your writings. i will be steadfast in my readings.
i am a statcounter junkie,
david
David,
Thanks for the swift kick in the butt.
