Here’s a brief Christmas/Hanukkah wish of mine: I’m interested in who reads my blog. So, this will be a very brief post, but my wish is this, stop by and leave a comment on this post and tell me who you are and where you are from. There are quite a few that comment only occasionally and some who have probably been hiding out and never said a word. But even for those who’ve commented many a times, I’d love it if you’d just stop by and get the list going. For an extra bonus point, let me know how you came across my blog.
Thanks! Your the best!
(So, Comment Below: Who Are You and Where Are You From?)
Hi, I’m Joanna. I’m from Indianapolis. I came here once-upon-a-time after you left a comment on my blog. I’m glad to have been reading ever since!
Minneapolis . Hi.
You know me…
Jason…currently in Vermont…came across your blog from a roll, but forget whose roll it was…
Been reading for almost three years now, I guess. Still around. Not commenting much but always reading.
South Minneapolis… not really sure how I found your blog initially.
Hey man, I’m Jesse from Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I heard about you from the Nick and Josh podcast. Great blog–keep the conversation going!
I read your blog a lot, though I admit that I have to a bunch of catching up sometimes because I haven’t visited in a while. I started reading your blog after your car broke down at our house and then you stayed the weekend and then you ended up living with us. Well, it was kind of like that.
I’m Emily, from Virginia Beach, VA. I think I found your blog by googling “Christian blog.” I was hoping to find something that offered fresh perspectives on faith-in-practice, the Bible, relationships – and I did!
Ariah,
I am here. Tanden from North Minneapolis
jamie from arizona–I have no idea how I came across your blog, but I am pretty sure it involved Bamford.
Chris from Chicago/Uganda, I just like people that have a last name as Fine so I thought it must be fine to read your blog too.
Phil here in snow covered Grand Rapids Michigan. I don’t remember how I came across this place first but I knew you (somewhat) from Wheaton and just re-discovered it.
Hey Ariah! I live in the great state of North Carolina. I *think* I actually discovered your blog through xanga…but not quite positive, cause it’s been awhile. 😉 I know at one time you were working on a social justice writing project that I signed up for (along with Richie-hey- whatever happened to him anyway? I sure miss him over there on xanga.)
All that to say, I have been so blessed by your writing here, and even though I don’t “know” you personally, I pray for you and your family quite often. You guys inspire me in so many ways, and I hope your future together will be as beautiful and amazing as I dream it will be. 🙂
Peace,
Jamie
William Guice here in Spring Hill, TN.
I’m Indie and I believe that I found you through Sam’s blog.
From Nashville, where I used to live with you and this is how I keep up with your escapades 🙂
I’m Christine, and I live in Chicago. I am not sure how I found your blog, but I think it might have been while searching for something about anti-consumerism and Christianity.
My name is Julia, and I’m from Marshall IL/Indianapolis IN. I found your blog when I was googling ethically produced shoes, and I came upon your post about TOMS. I actually only started diligently reading your blog today. I had read a few entries, but today I went through and read the 39 entries stored up in my RSS reader. It was partly an admittance of defeat and partly an important step forward. For about the last year and a half I’ve been hoping to magically fall into a real-world community of Christians dedicated to living simply and effecting systemic change. However, such a community has not constructed itself around me, and I have no idea how to find analog people who share my convictions, so I’m biting the bullet and trying to get involved in some kind of internet community, where I know these people exist. Your blog addresses almost everything I’ve been looking for, so I thought it would be a good place to start finding other sites and people and ideas and support and all those other good benefits of community.
I really appreciate what you’re doing with this blog, and that it deals with the “Now what?” after you realize that things need to change.
From Memphis. I just “discovered” you a couple of weeks ago and I’ve already forgotten how I did that. I think that me qualified to run for office somewhere.
…If not to type.
hey ariah! merry christmas! i think i started reading your blog when we became facebook friends cause i was curious what you were up to. i find your perspectives so refreshing and you really get me thinking! i live in berkeley CA now and am getting my PhD in biology at Cal.
Hey, it’s Erin. Still around though not commenting much these days. Looks like I might be the first Canadian in the crowd. Wooot! And dude, I’m middle-aged… I have no way of remembering how I first arrived here lol.
I’m Amy from Nashville, currently living in China. We met through Daniel, Amanda, and Josh through dancing at Portland Brew. I got your blog from Daniel. I enjoy reading your blog – always something interesting!
Mike from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I wish I could remember how I heard about your blog. It wasn’t too long ago. Probably someone had it linked.
Blessings to you!
JR. From Ohio, live in Memphis. Someone told me that all the cool kids read your blog, so I hopped on that train just as fast as I could.
Hey Ariah,
I’ve been reading your blogs sporadically for as long as I know you. I would blame it on Africa and bad internet except that I read sporadically when I’m in the states too. I love you guys and wish you a Merry Christmas.
Keep being intentional about living out your faith and writing to us about what you’ve learned or are wrestling with. We all need the reminder from time to time that Christianity isn’t a philosophy — it’s life.
Yo yo yo, Ariah,
It’s your buddy Adam from the ol’ T4 days at Wheaton. Haven’t commented in a while, but I read when I can find the time. Like many of the others, I really don’t remember when/how I found your site… it’s been at least 3 years. Still rockin’ the desert here in AZ, but maybe only for a bit longer. Hope you enjoy your Christmas with your family and friends…

You know me. Great idea, by the way, and I may steal it. A Merry and Peaceful Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
Hi,
It’s me, Vesa, from Helsinki, Finland. I followed your comment from our blog and found my way here. Hope you got the Jaiku invite alright 🙂
All the best for the New Year,
–Vesa and the guys from Napa10
hello ariah,
you know me via 43things… who i am is a bookish dreamer and thinker living in Brooklyn… half Hindu and half Jain, the reason I admire your blog is that i sense the sincerity with which you try to approach your faith… of adhering to the spirit and not the letter…
Beth from Santa Cruz, I was lead to your site by Becky Pferdehirt, my sister. This is probably the ONE source of writing that I read and respect from a blatantly Christian source. Kudos for your realistic, holistic and loving world view that quests for more.
Justin, from Nashville. Friend of Josh and Daniel. Started reading after hanging out and crashing at the house a few times, while you guys were all living together.
Rosy from IL
I came across your blog while researching Wheaton College.
Happy New year!
GOD BLESS your family.
Hey
