I’m about to leave for my first day of biking to work. I’m a little nervous, mainly on the awkwardness of having to shower once I get to work, but I think I worked that out okay.
Anyone have any suggestions? I have a route that is mostly bike lanes, but I’m still gonna be biking home in the dark.
So, just a note to all you Nashville folks, be careful driving down the roads this evening.

you should get one of those bike headlights! or wear all that reflective clothing that really freaks drivers out b/c it looks like something is floating towards them
You should do both of what Melissa says.
Also, you should not hug the curb too much so that drivers can see you. Also go into the correct lane when turning as if you are a car. Many things make more sense that way. Finally, if you are going straight or turning right, and are in the rightmost lane, be careful of cars turning in front of you, that’s the most common bicycle/car collision (I usually try to stay in the center of the lane at intersections, so that they can’t)
