Where does your Recycling Go?

31 January 2007 3 Comments

For those who live in Nashville, here’s a short little video explaining the recycling process.

I’m really excited that we’ve finally started recycling at Mosaic. I don’t know why we didn’t sooner. I guess I just figured digging the paper programs out of the trash after the service was easier then pushing my agenda.
I’ve also seen quite a few friends start recycling which has also been really encouraging. It’s one of those things that I think we should just be doing.

    1. Can you tell what happened with Mosaic? How’d you get them to start recycling?

    2. What are the results of the survey so far?

We recycle, but Nashville doesn’t make it easy for apartment dwellers. From what I understand, people in houses put everything in a bin on their curb without sorting it. We have to drive ours to the recycle centers and sort everything ourselves. These small apartments don’t have much room to store things between trips. Needless to say, most people in our large complex do not recycle.

thanks for the video! that was really cool!

and indie is right. i wonder why they won’t bring curby to apartments? i currently allow friends living in apratments to use my bin, so maybe that is an option for others as well?
